Addressing party supporters after filing, Dr. Damba assured that he will prioritize the needs of the people and remain committed to improving their livelihoods.
He further highlighted that as a lecturer and parliamentary candidate, he has made positive impact in the constituency by securing admission for numerous students, providing financial assistance to students for school fees, donating furniture to schools, drilling boreholes, supporting farmers with agrochemicals as well as providing support to health centers in the constituency.
“As a son of this land and having worked here as a lecturer, I have first-hand knowledge and understanding of our people’s struggles and pains. I’m determined to tackle the challenges head-on and drive meaning change in their lives as well as ensure our constituency gets the representation it deserves.” He pledged.
Dr. Damba’s decision to contest the Tolon seat has thrilled many constituents who see him as a catalyst for change in Tolon and believe his speciality in agriculture will inject fresh ideas and bring innovative solutions to the area’s agricultural challenges.
The Tolon parliamentary seat has been a subject of interest in recent times with many constituents clamoring for a leadership change.
Meanwhile, sources say Dr. Damba’s entry into the race is seen as a substantial threat to the incumbent MP’s re-election bid, giving the current constituency dynamics, setting the stage for a fierce and intense contest in December 7.
