Popular media personality, Mohamed Hafiz alias Gee Face has questioned the representation of a single northern-based artiste in The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair organized by Rashida Saani, the Chief Executive Officer of The Ghana Report.
In a Facebook post, Gee Face demanded explanation for the exclusion of many northern-based artistes in the event.
“…That’s nice, but dear Sister can you explain to us why You Organize a National Event of this Magnitude with over 20 Artists Performing And Only 1 single Artists base in the North was part of ??” He questioned.
He revealed that despite operating in Tamale, Radio Xtra owned by Rashida Saani frequently interviews northern-based artistes but plays little of their songs which raises questions over the media company’s support for local music talents.
“Radio Xtra usually host them and play little of their songs.” He disclosed.
Meanwhile, Macassio who was the only northern-based musician billed to perform at the event has expressed his disappointment over Gee Face’s criticism of the artistes lineup, questioning its objectivity.
He questioned whether Gee Face would have criticized the artistes lineup if Fancy Gadam was included.
“Bro be honest if it was fancy who performed at the show would you have posted something like this ? Face . Naaa smh 🤦♂️ … because it’s her ?…Or because it’s not ur artiste who performed?? Am disappointed in this post charly”. He expressed.
