TACE 10th Congregation: 211 students out of 457 graduate with first-class honors

The Tamale College of Education at its 10th Congregation ceremony held on Saturday August 31, 2024 recorded a remarkable achievement as 211 out of 457 students graduated with first-class honors, positioning the school as a leader among its peers affiliated with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Coeresourceshub.org reports that the principal of the college, Dr. Sulemana Iddrisu expressed excitement over this feat and disclosed that the performance represents a 2914% improvement compared to the previous year.

The report further explained that the graduates comprised of 61% males and 39% females with almost half of the Junior High School (JHS) Education program graduates securing first-class honors.

According to the report, Dr. Sulemana emphasized that the exceptional academic success of the 2024 graduating class is a testament to the high quality teacher education provided by the school as well as the collective efforts of all stakeholders.

Meanwhile, varied commentary has emerged on social media after the graduation ceremony with some including old students raising eyebrows over the school’s performance while others are celebrating the achievement of the school.
