After a rerun which produced no winner due to alleged ballot box snatching and destruction of ballot papers, the incumbent MP for the Walewale Constituency and a candidate in the NPP parliamentary primaries, Hajia Lariba Abudu has announced her withdrawal from the race.
According to a release by her office, the decision is for the interest of the NPP and the peace in the Walewale constituency.
Meanwhile, the NPP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) will be meeting tomorrow to decide the fate of the Walewale constituency as the deadline for the submission of parliamentary nomination papers to the Electoral Commission of Ghana draws nearer.
